About Rick Barot: Rick Barot is the author of the recent full-length collection, Moving the Bones, along with his newest publication, the chapbook The Emperor of the Cut Sleeve, published by Sixth Finch Books in 2025. He was born in the Philippines, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and now teaches at Pacific Lutheran University and lives in Tacoma, Washington. His previous books include The Darker Fall, Want, and The Galleons. Rick has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Artist Trust of Washington, and Stanford University, where he was a Wallace E. Stegner Fellow and a Jones Lecturer in Poetry.
