Open House Friday, Sept. 23rd and Saturday, Sept. 24th

Uncertain Girls in Uncertain Times: Poetry, Essential Advice and Practical Know-How for Women Aiming to Set the World on Fire

Join us on Friday, September 23th and Saturday, September 24th during regular store hours (12pm - 5pm PST) to celebrate the publication of Uncertain Girls in Uncertain Times. Between its covers, 32 individuals share wisdom and poetry to encourage young women to imagine deeply, create bravely, and find the confidence to build a meaningful life in this uncertain and chaotic world.

This event is a collaboration between Open Books and the Uncertain Girls Project whose goal is to encourage the inter-generational sharing of wisdom, and to amplify the power of poetry. During the event, anyone who purchases a book of poetry at Open Books will also receive a gift copy of Uncertain Girls in Uncertain Times.

Register in advance to ensure a copy is waiting for you!

Throughout both days, the Parlor will be open and we’ll have pens and wrapping paper on hand so you can add a personal note to the book to make your copy a special gift for an uncertain girl in your life. Editors and contributors from the anthology will be available to sign books and share stories and poetry.
