ARE YOU A LOCAL POET? 

Thank you for your interest in seeing your book at Open Books! Please bear in mind that we are a small crew juggling lots of e-mails on a daily basis. We will do our best to respond as promptly as we can. Requests are reviewed on a weekly basis and you should have a response within 7 business days.

Our terms: We offer 80% of the book's sale price toward store credit. 

Here are some guidelines we’ve developed which help us decide which books to carry on our shelves. The health of our shop requires these guidelines be met. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation! 

Requirements:

• The author must be local to the Pacific Northwest

• The book and its content must be poetry centered; if not, please explain why your book is still a good fit for our shop.

• The author/publisher website must link to www.openpoetrybooks.com.

• To start the consignment process, a copy of the book must be dropped off or mailed to Open Books for review along with your contact information (name, phone, email and mailing address). If approved, this book can be used toward the consignment agreement. (Please note: We are a small shop committed to carrying a wide range of collections. To that end, we will generally only carry a single copy at a time.) If not approved, the book can be picked up or mailed back to you.
