AWP Seattle March 8-12

Planning to be in Seattle for AWP? Check out our calendar of events! And if you're still looking for a place to sign some books or gather with friends, we’re ready to host you in our Parlor! We're excited to be welcoming so many writers, presses, and lovers of poetry to our shop during that time!

Whether you’re looking for a space to host a public book signing, a small group gathering, or some quiet time on your own, fill out this form and we'll be in touch to reserve your spot!

Our new location at 108 Cherry Street is less than a mile away from the convention center and we'll be offering extended hours (10am to 8pm) March 8-11 in order to give visitors and locals alike more opportunities to browse our shelves, connect with friends, and catch a moment of rest in our most comfortable of reading chairs.

Additionally, if you're looking for a venue to host a reading, here are the names of a few businesses we're fortunate enough to share a building with:

Cherry Street Coffeehouse: https://www.cherryst.com/
Beneath the Streets (Seattle underground tours): https://www.beneath-the-streets.com/
Saké Nomi (saké bar): https://www.sakenomi.us*

* Please note: Masks are required for all in-person events at Open Books. Would you like to see masks required inside the AWP Conference? Visit this site to add your name to the petition.
