new york ironweed's poems are plants made from and with language: strange, witchy little creatures, they err without error and decompose. These energetic, super sonic, hyper-conscious poems emerge from our shared context of climate and insect crisis, and pay care and attention to the plants that grow wildly from cracks in the concrete. Intentionally "imperfect," the poems invite typographical irregularities, reflecting ecological realities.
